From the author: Panic attacks are quite common and can be dealt with. Family counseling Section 1. Panic attacks Panic attacks are usually caused by long-standing events that have been repressed into the subconscious. Events most often occur in children under three years of age or begin in the perinatal period. I will base my story on the experiences of my clients so that what I am talking about is clear. One of the common types of panic attacks is the sight of blood. Among my clients there was a man of strong build, athletic, one might say brutal, who fainted at the sight of blood, and it didn’t matter whether it was his blood or the blood of another person. Such emotional strong reactions do not happen for no reason. Therefore, it is necessary to “get to the bottom” of the root cause. He could not consciously remember anything. No one was killed before his eyes, he did not undergo any operations. It is quite obvious that the reason was in his subconscious. My task was to put him into a trance and find that “seed” that was the beginning of panic attacks at the sight of blood. His reaction in fact was numbness from the fear of death. As a rule, I begin my session with emotional experiences in the perinatal period. In a trance with the client, we calmly survived the perinatal period until eight months of pregnancy, and then it turned out that at eight months of pregnancy the mother was in winter slipped and fell, resulting in premature labor. During childbirth, the mother lost a large amount of blood, which threatened the life of her and the child. At the same time, the doctors talked a lot about the fact that the mother might not survive, and the child, especially, would no longer survive. All this information was “recorded” on the subconscious of the newborn and subsequently panic attacks began to occur in the form of blood, sometimes with loss of consciousness. In fact, when you “bring out” a traumatic situation from the subconscious, it begins to “wash away” and lose its power of influence on organism. Catharsis, sometimes, manifests itself in screaming, tears, and after several such sessions, the pathological neural circuit is completely erased and the client gets rid of his panic attack. Another example. So, one of my patients was very afraid of dogs, even the smallest and non-aggressive ones, for no apparent reason. Stress and panic haunted her constantly, since many people kept dogs in her house. In a trance, it turned out that in the seventh month of pregnancy, a pack of homeless yard dogs tried to attack her mother in the evening. Fortunately, it was winter, she was dressed in a long thick sheepskin coat, thick boots, and the dogs could not bite through them. She was not injured, she safely took refuge in the nearest entrance, but the fear of the dog attack remained in the mother and child. For eight sessions, we “removed” this problem in catharsis. A month later, my patient called me and proudly told me that she walked near a huge shepherd without fear. The woman did not experience panic attacks at the sight of dogs anymore. There are many such examples, but the point is that you need to understand when a traumatic situation appeared and the program was “born.” However, it should be noted that such programs are not always “born” in unconscious age, but in any case, you need to work with them using the method of catharsis. I do not do much different psychotherapeutic approach with children under sixteen years of age. Do not “strengthen” this problem, as it will not go away on its own. Therefore, contact a psychotherapist in time.
