Sleep is a state when a person is relaxed, does not react to external stimuli, all brain functions slow down, the body disconnects from everything that is happening and falls asleep. Sleep is extremely important for our psyche and body. It’s not for nothing that they say that good sleep is the key to health! A well-rested person usually feels cheerful and capable of great achievements. But what to do if you go to bed on time and cannot sleep? You toss and turn, constantly look at the clock and think with horror about the state in which you will have to go to work tomorrow. Insomnia is often an alarming signal that the balance in our soul is disturbed. This can begin as a result of a hard day at work or conflicts at home, worries about children or parents, and can also lead to loss of sleep. Sleepless nights have a very negative effect on our health, reducing immunity, slowing down brain function, etc. The first thing you need to do is listen to yourself, identify the cause of insomnia and try to eliminate it. For example, the cause may be a disturbance in the sleep cycle. I will not go into details of the sleep phases, I will only say that the body itself signals to us that it is time to go to bed. If a person does not listen to this call and misses a certain phase, then he has to wait for the next cycle, which is 2 hours. I will give you some reflexology recommendations on how to improve your sleep: Connect your fingers and press them against each other. Hold for 10 minutes. Press your palms together, as during prayer, hold for several minutes. 10 minutes look at any blue object. Massage the place located on the second toe, and you can also massage the base of the big toe from the inside. Also massage the base of the big toe hands (on both hands). I’ll tell you another method that will help you fall asleep on time. Create a ritual for yourself that you need to perform an hour before bed. For example, this could be reading a book, meditation, prayer, taking a warm bath, lighting a candle or aroma lamp (it is especially good to use lavender or lemon balm oils). Psychologically, this will be perceived as preparation for sleep. I wish you a good night's sleep! Also, I want to mention dreams here. Dreams are the most important tool for psychologists! Sigmund Freud also noticed the connection between our dreams and the unconscious; he believed that dreams reflect our repressed desires, feelings, thoughts that we try to avoid while awake. So, if you understand your dreams well, you can learn a lot of new things about yourself! If you found the article useful, please like it.
