From the author: In my practice, working with mandalas occupies one of the main places. I use this method in counseling, in working with married and child-parent couples. I also conduct a series of trainings based on the transformation of a problem situation through the drawing of certain proformas. Anyone who draws from time to time with a pencil or paints, or who remembers doing this as a child, knows the satisfaction that creativity brings. This happens because when we draw, we connect with our inner self, with our intuition and feelings - be they positive or negative feelings - that may come over us during the creative process. Thus, tension disappears, we calm down, and the state of our inner world improves. Even people who haven't drawn since childhood or who think they're not creative can also realize that they have a creative streak. Mandala - translated from Sanskrit as “circle” or “center”. One of the main advantages of working with mandalas is that each person reveals himself with the help of his Inner Child, with the help of contemplation, pencils, paints and a certain amount of free time. Mandalas are good for both children and adults. Thus, in psychocorrectional and developmental work with children and adolescents, the psychological capabilities of mandalas can be used: for the purpose of correcting the emotional state, normalizing behavior (coloring ready-made mandalas coloring pages) for the purpose of diagnosing the current mood (coloring a white circle) for the purpose of studying group relationships (creating individual mandala in a group with the subsequent creation of a collective composition) for the purpose of diagnosing and correcting a specific problem (color a circle symbolizing school, family, the image of “I”, friendship, love, anger, etc.) (“sand mandala” in the photo) There are also others the possibilities of using mandalas in current areas of psychocorrectional work with children, adolescents and adults are: For problems of self-esteem For feelings of internal imbalance Activation of resource states of the individual For fear of losing control over oneself For pessimism and depression For psychocorrection of accumulated irritation and aggression Psychocorrection of emotional hypersensitivity or, on the contrary, alexithymia (difficulty in responding to feelings, emotions). With a feeling of a life impasse Psychocorrection of fears and anxieties Overcoming a crisis in development (age-related, personal) Support of adaptation Family situations Psychosomatic problems Group cohesion based on spiritual closeness, collective creativity Increasing concentration and internal balance (for example, in hyperactive children) Correction of fine motor disorders and nervous tension Cultivation of patience and accuracy Formation of self-confidence based on calmness and stimulation of creative potential
