The other day I came from a place that seemed completely familiar to me, where I had been many times. But even in this case, I experienced the miraculous influence of travel. Most people probably have the idea of travel as therapy. This is a change of scenery that gives the brain a reboot, it is an opportunity to distance oneself from one’s local triggers and rethink the situation, it is new impressions and emotions that fill us with resources, new contacts and acquaintances that improve communication problems. But besides this, traveling is a tool for personal growth and building self-confidence. What is the point and how does it work? Any trip is one way or another a way out of the comfort zone, which is why some people decide on them so hard and sabotage them. Any trip involves circumstances that we cannot control. And this means we have to adapt, overcome ourselves in some ways and discover hidden possibilities within ourselves. All this makes us stronger, more resilient, emotionally stable, more experienced and, as a result, increases our self-confidence. The downside here is that this phenomenon has a short-term effect. If after a trip we return to our usual environment, the routine gradually draws us in and neutralizes the confidence points we gained. And yet we can make this effect lasting by properly processing and appropriating this experience. To do this, after your trip, mentally go back to the beginning and trace your entire path, all the unusual, unusual and difficult situations that you had to face. Pay attention to your role in overcoming them, to what qualities and skills of yours helped you cope with difficulties. Praise yourself. Tell yourself that you are doing great because you got out of difficult situations, that you were able to understand and navigate new conditions, that you have all the necessary skills and abilities to cope with difficulties. If necessary, document your thoughts in writing or in notes on your phone. Now you can draw on your experience in new circumstances and use it in the future when you are afraid to start something. You have already coped with difficulties, you can do it, which means you can do it in the future when the need arises. Travel is a tool. Don't neglect him.
