From the author: Announcement of the seminar “My Pedigree” You can often hear, why do I need to know my pedigree, because I’m not a royal? And what to do with it, with this pedigree? Let's talk about pedigree. Let's consider the etymology of the word Pedigree. Let's taste it. It is decomposed into two word-concepts that make it up: Race and word, or maybe glory. Word - I put it into words, I talk about my family. Glory - I glorify my family. It is not for nothing that genealogies of kings, rulers, and mythical heroes existed already in ancient times (often of a legendary nature). Rod is a word that designates a group of people united by blood. And the word Rod itself denotes the most ancient god of the Slavs, Rod. The main city of the Ross tribe was called Roden (Kinfolk). It was dedicated to the god Rod. Pedigree (Greek genealogia - pedigree) - a list of generations of one genus, establishing the origin and degrees of kinship. There is such a science as genealogy. Genealogy is an auxiliary historical discipline that deals with the study of the history of clans, the origin of individuals, the establishment of family ties, the compilation of genealogies. “Friend, hold on to the memory, do not break the connection with the past...” Rasul Gamzatov This is the most vivid, convincing and visual connections emerge when we look at our family tree. When we see what significance We ourselves acquire, our life in the general biological chain, what we mean for our descendants and future generations. When material is collected to compile a pedigree, a lot of related information is selected about the members of the clan. It turns out what they were like - their ancestors - how they lived, what they did for a living, their habits, appearance, behavior and attitude towards life, who they chose as companions, friends, what they achieved in life, how they coped with difficulties, what they talked about, who and what they loved, how they gave birth and raised children, what they were sick with, and so on, so on, so on... And here, systematizing family information, generalizing birth experience, receiving hereditary knowledge - many are surprised to discover something in common with themselves, with their lives, actions, and perhaps some with the actions of their children, and some with their grandchildren. Certain patterns are discovered that are passed on from generation to generation. What is inherited can be positive, helping the family to survive and develop. And sometimes it’s the other way around... All the information received is very valuable. Why? “There are days when you give up. And there are no words, no music, no strength. On such days I was separated from myself. And I didn’t ask anyone to help me.” Andrei Makarevich. It’s on days like these that you can turn to your ancestors for strength, words and music. Those who lived, coped with difficult life situations, and somehow looked for opportunities to move on. Recharge with their energy, learn optimism, the desire to live, use the life skills and qualities developed by generations...Working on the genealogy and analyzing family heritage helps everyone to join sacred knowledge, read the messages of ancestors, discover family resources, realize the strength and weakness of the family, and, if necessary, change the family program. And also, drawing up a pedigree preserves family memory, strengthens family ties, develops communication skills and skills in working with information, etc..
